Denis O’Regan has become the first jump jockey to ride a winner at every British and Irish National Hunt racecourse.
The Irishman completed the set at Hereford on Monday, taking victory in the Novices’ Hurdle on Fiveonefive.
O’Regan – who returned from injury on Sunday after 14 weeks out – was winless in 28 previous attempts at Hereford.
“It’s lovely and it’s a personal achievement,” O’Regan told Sky Sports Racing.
“Today was a lucky day, I had a good feeling about it, and I’m delighted it has come off.
“A lot of people supported me last year trying to get it and it didn’t quite work out.”
Fiveonfive, trained by Cian Collins, finished a length and three-quarters ahead of Johnny Blue.
